The detergeant cup in the door of the dishwasher won't stay closed. I see that there is a spring interlock part available, a return spring. or an entire detergeant cup. Any idea what part I need and how hard is it to fix?

You will have to take the door apart to see what part is needed.

It may be a piece broken on the detergent door.

It may be one of the pieces in this kit.

With the age of that dishwasher I think it would be best to replace the complete "Detergent Cup with Gasket Assembly".

This will take care of any trouble you now have or will have down the road with the detergent cup.

It is very easy to change.
