Default Dishwasher

Cycle begins, as usual, pumping out water, then it fills the dishwasher with new water and starts washing. But then it does not proseed to the next “pump out-refill-wash-pump out-rinse-dry”. The timer keeps going, until it completes the cycle, but nothing happens. When I try to start all over by turning the knob to the beginning of the cycle, it DOES NOT START! I have to wait for 15-20 minutes with the door open, and then if I close the door it starts pumping out water. I replaced the timer, but it did not help. What part could be defective? What are the possibilities?

It sounds like there is a wiring problem.

It may be the motor over heating.
