Default Dishwasher
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: PDB2430AWX
Age: 5 - 10 years

After looking at the diagram, the plunger is not staying inside the selinoid (Part #6).

Before ordering we want to make sure that all we need to replace is Part number #6 Selinoid and plunger

Is your solenoid working?

The solenoid is a magnet.

The plunger will come out so it sound like something else is causing this to happen.

When power is applied to the solenoid the plunger is pull in.

When the power is cut the plunger is loose.

Run the dishwasher and watch to see what is happening.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model PDB2430AWX.
