Brand: Kenmore
Model Number: 587.1519
Age: Less than 1 year

I mistakenly put dish soap in my rinse agent dispenser. Stupid, Huh? I have ran the dishwasher several times trying to get it all out. What should I do? It is still under warrenty, but I don't know if Sears will cover this kind of thing

How much soap did you put in the rinse agent dispenser?

Can you please verify your model number?

It is on a tag on the tub where the door closes on the right side.

Go to your local grocery store that rents "rug doctors" or a similar carpet cleaning machine. They should have a product available called "defoamer" add this to your dishwasher and run it through an empty cycle, this should get rid of the problem

That would likely work if it was not in the rinse despenser.

So, how exactly do you clean out the rinse aid dispenser? I've tried hot water but it seems like an endless task. Bits of clumped up soap keep coming out but I can hear the bigger clusters of hardened soap still inside when shaking the whole assembly.

You may want to purchase a new dispenser.
