Default Dish Washer Leaking at Door
Brand: Frigidaire
Model Number: MDR251RHS0
Age: 5 - 10 years

My dish washer started leaking out of the bottom at the door. I checked the parts list on line and the tub gasket was the only seal I could find. I replaced the gasket, but it did not correct the problem. Is there a seal that mounts to the bottom of the door? Or, if the fill timer is going bad, could over filling cause the machine to leak? Also, I trimmed the gasket to stop on the bottom approximately half way across the bottom shelf (like the old gasket was installed) was this a mistake?

Water should fill to just below the heat element. A common problem is that the spray arm will develop a crack that allows the water to be sprayed out at the wrong angle and position thus sending water out the door gasket.

Carefully inspect the lower, upper spray arms and tower. If you don't see a crack, put on a raincoat and hold the door switch and watch the water spraying.

I had one that leaked around the soap dispenser and ran down the door it left a small wet spot on the floor. I put white silicone sealant around the outside of the dispenser and it fixed the problem. If your worried about toxins you can use clear aquarium silicone.
