Brand: KitchenAid
Model Number: KUDS01DJBL0

The fuse is open, so I will replace it. Question..What would cause the fuse to blow?

It is hard to say what caused the fuse to go.

It might have been weak.

[my dishwasher might have the same problem? where would i find the fuse on a whirlpool series 920? i am not getting any electricity....

The fuze is behind the control panel. Usually blows if motor and heater come on at the same time. To remedy, just turn off heated dry.
