Smile Crusty Soap Deposits

I have a heavy build up of dried soap in the dishwasher which is crusty and hard as a rock. I have broke up a lot of it, but there are areas that I cannot access. Is there a method or chemical that I can run in the diswasher to disolve this crusty substance?I have been using the gel soap but wonder if I should return to the dry stuff

Don't know if this will work for that, but it does work for rusty stains. It is "Citric Acid or Oxalic Acid." Citric acid also works for hard water buildup on faucets, so you might try it. You might have a combination of hard water buidlup along with whatever might be in the detergent. Dishwasher cleaners usually contain these ingredients--or get from a chemical supply house.

Also try calling the manufacturuer of the soap (800 number on box?) and ask them what might issolve this buildup.

You have calcium deposits, try CLR and pull spray arm and soak in vinegar or CLR.
