draincover over drain in bottom of d.w. is almost covered with lime,calcuim etc.how do i remove for cleaning? is the filter clipped in or is there a screw holding it down?thank you for any help.

Also vinegar is good for dissolving calcium/lime deposits and will not harm other parts. Just have to let it sit overnight.
