Red face Can you locate my Maytag door sensor
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: MDB6000AWA
Age: 1 - 4 years

Here's all i've got: I believe the sensor on my washer door (which tells if the door is closed) is damaged. When I close the door, the dishwasher will not start without additional pressure. I cannot locate where this mechanism rests.

Here are diagrams for my washer, Maytag MDB6000AWA

Any idea?

Thanks!!

There is no sensor, it is the door switches that close and let the dishwasher operate.

The switches are located in the door latch assembly.

Turn the power off to the dishwasher and open the control panel.

Check the latch assembly for cracks.

Here is the switches and holder assembly.
