Default Bottom Pan slowly fills when not washing
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: WU302
Age: More than 10 years

The Twin Solenoid Water Valve was replaced with a new one. This did not stop the problem. The water pressure is 80 psi. I understand that the water level switch only controls the water level during a washing cycle.

Any suggestions?

Can you see the water coming out the inlet hole in the side of the dishwasher or is it filling from the base?

If you leave the door opened does this still happen?

The water level switch is only a safety switch to shut the water valve off if the dishwasher is full be for the time allotted on the timer.

Default Filling very very slow

It fills to a depth of about one quarter inch in the first 24 hours after a wash.

I would have to empty it and leave the door open for sometime. Is it important to do this

To tell if is coming from the fill opening make sure the tub area is dry and place a piece of paper towel under the fill hole. if you have to tape it in place so it does not move.

See what happens.
