My Dishwasher display shows the letter "F" and it sounds like its trying to drain but nothing is in the machine.

I am not sure what the code "F" means?

I am very handy and can repair if I knew what it means.

Please help if anyone knows.

The F stand for a filling problem.

Check to see if you are getting power to the fill valve.

If there is power to the valve you will likely need to replace the valve.

If there is no power to the valve check the float switch it may be stuck.
