Default Bad timer?
Brand: Maytag
Model Number: mdb6000aww
Age: 5 - 10 years

Machine is inconsistent as it runs through cycles. Sometimes it fills/sometimes doesn't fill, sometimes it drains prematurely. Float and float switch are ok. It has a reversing motor.
I think timer might be bad. If so how do I remove the control panel and test the timer?

It does sound like the timer is the problem.

To remove the control panel open the door and remove the screws on the door panel.

Here is a link to your dishwasher model mdb6000aww.
