Upper arm does not turn during cycle. Lots of water comes out of it. No holes are plugged. What might the problem be.

Will it turn if you spin it?

Here is a link to your dishwasher model FDBB1940DB2.

The arm turns very easily. I kind of flops around. Could it be to loose?

Take the arm off and check in the arm obstructions.

The nut is above the spray arm.

If it is tight take a blunt object and give it a tap.

Be careful not to damage the tub.

Check the arm for ware.

Reinstall and try it again.
