Default KitchenAid Mixer not working

My mixer began leaking grease around the top of the mixing area. I removed the 2 large screws on the top housing cover and removed the 2 magnets. After realizing this was not the way to remove the top cover, I replaced the magnets and now the mixer does not work at all.

How do I get the mixer K45SSWH to start working again, and how do I get it to stop leaking grease?

Thanks
