Default What does E-2 mean on the display?
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: AFQ08FAM1/A3/
Age: Please select

I can't find the name of this A/C window unit neither I am sure about the model number... Sometimes E-2 is appearing on the display and the A/C doesn't start. Can somebody tell me what it means "E-2"? Thanks
Nathalie

The model that begins AFQ08FA is no longer available, it is a GE brand. as far as I can tell the code is a short cycling code,,, meaning, that the unit did not start and tried to restart before the overload could rest. I did call GE for you and they could not tell me what it stood for. I have seen this code before and just unplugged the unit for 30-60 seconds. Then plugged it back in and the unit worked fine. Hope this helps

gwr, thanks a lot for your answer. I appreciate. I unplugged it many times already. You are right it worked before but no longer now. Oh well, I think, it's time for a new one...lol Thanks again.
