Brand: Other
Model Number: fan sequencer
Age: Less than 1 year

i just bought a replacement fan sequencer for my heating /ac unit the new switch is the same in all aspects except that the numbers an the side that tell you where you where to put the wires. m1 , m2 ,m3 ,m4 on the side of the switch. they are reversed on the new switch. will it make a difference or should i go with the scematic and hook up m1 wire to the m1 termanal
Please help me

you will have no problem, just make sure that you hook the wires right. the sequencer is just a switch, the wires on the right should be together on the new switch and the ones on the left should be together ,or( top and bottom ).input on one side of the switch (power in high voltage) and output on the other side of the switch (power out to fan and heaters). There is a heater in the base of the sequencer that heats the bimetals in the upper section. Each has a different temp rating, so the top one will stage in first, then the lower one, then onto the next set of sequencers. Hope this helps.... ps the base is 24 volts.

I guess the markings on the switch being reversed are for a different set of schematics. Thank you for explaining the workings of the switch. I see now that the wires on the bottom go to a transformer, so that is the low voltage. I will hook it up just like the schematic says. I also made a diagram when i unhooked the wires and i will hook them up the same way they came off. Thank you again and wish me luck
