have a small fridge that no longer cools, compressor runs and has a service port on compressor low side. I checked pressure, 40 psi standing, and when running it starts out at about 25 psi but slowly climbs to 50 psi or more . Does it indicate contamination? Somthing else?

Sounds like it may be a restriction.
