I have been trying to fix my large room Kenmore AC for a while now and I am stuck. I found the fuse on the main PCB assembly is blown and have tried to replace it with the proper 250v/t2A fuse and it continue to blow EVERY time I plug it back in. I did notice on the fuse that came out of the AC that is has T2L 250V not T2A. Should I be trying to find the T2L fuse and not use the T2A? I have been to Lowes. Home Depot and Sears Hardware and have only been able to find the T2A type. PLEASE HELP!

Model and seriall number please. Also if it blows fuse immediately you have a dead short.
any way it would be the pcb? How could I tell if it was the capacitor? My wife said she heard a fairly loud "pop" when she plugged it in during the initiating event...and thanks for the input so far.

Capacitor looks like a grey metal can with wires attached. If bad either swollen or leaking a tar substance.
