Brand: Other
Model Number: TRANE XR12
Age: 1 - 4 years

AM A FEMALE ON A LOW BUDGET....TRYING TO REPAIR

AIR CONDITIONER WONT TURN ON....THERMOSTAT LOOKS OK.....WANTED TO CHECK FUSES, BUT CANNOT LOCATE ANY FUSES OUTSIDE....

That is a disconnect switch. Look for dual pole breaker in breaker box.

fyi...turned out to be clog in drain...backed up into airhandler tray....auto shut off..... had to siphon water out, clean trap and pipe.

can't locate any filters on air handler....do they always have one? there is a filter on air return in ceiling...... want to make sure this doesnt happen again!

The filters are just in the return. A mixture of 2 oz. of bleach to a quart of warm water poured down the drain will fight the fungus build up that leads to clogs.
