Default LG Air Conditioner Wire Mix Up
Brand: Other
Model Number: LWHD1800R
Age: 1 - 4 years

The window where the a/c unit is installed was falling apart. So I took the a/c out fixed the window and noticed that the a/c was filthy and needed a good cleaning. I took the unit and washed it with the hose being very careful what I soaked with water.

I unplugged the electronic controls disconnecting only 3 wires plus the connector that looks like a molex connector but with more wire connections. Anyways, after everything was cleaned and reinstalled the a/c won't kick into compressor mode to cool the place up.

The fan blows but when the compressor flips the fans die slowly and then you just here clicks when you go through the different fan speeds and fan never turns back on without being unplugged for a couple of hours.

I tried switching the connections but no luck, anyone out there have a picture of how the wires are suppose to be connected. It's the wires that connects to the compressor. Red, black and blue.

Thanks,

Reyes

reyestduran, can you identify the three wires you are talking about? Are they the AC to the unit and if so is the unit 120V or 240V (some people use 110, 220V).
