Default LG Air conditioner not cold enough
Brand: Other
Model Number: LSQ 092H-3
Age: 1 - 4 years

Hi, I was wondering what may be causing my AC to not be working cold enough. After running it at 20 degrees for a few hours the temp was around 26 degrees going by 2 temp gauges so I cleaned the filters and when I opened the front cover I found it was all iced up. Last summer when I bought it it wasn't very cold but I just put up with it thinking thats as good as it gets. Also one of the pipes on the outside part of the unit was covered in ice too. Do I call the repair guy or is it something else that needs adjusting? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Stephen

Make sure the compressor is kicking on!! Clean the back of the unit make sure the coils arent mashed and it can breath good this is the number 1 cause of units freezing up!!!!!!! This does not fix the problem, then you may want to call for service!!!!!

call a service guy, cos it seem the leaking ocurre. insufficient refrigerant in the system can cause water content in the air become freezing in the evaporator and suction line due to refrigerant boiling point is below zero degree celcius. Normally the boiling point is arround 5 to 10 degrees celcius.
tq.
