Default GE Air Conditioner Repair Question
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: AJCH12DCM1
Age: 5 - 10 years

I need to replace this fan blade PS278375 http://www.partselect.com/assets/par...278375_1_M.jpg
on a GE AJCH12DCM1 room air conditioner.

I have removed the unit and cleaned the coils.

I am handy with basic repairs but I do not have any special tools such as wheel pullers or Air Conditioner charging tools.

If it's a simple repair I can do it myself or I can have it repaired locally if needed.

Please send advice on whether I should try the repair.

Thanks,
Dennis

You should be able to do this yourself.

The only thing holding the fan blade on is a nut.

Yep. Be careful anyway, you don't want to make anything worse. I had a friend try to re-attatch his fan and he ended up buying a new air conditioner.
