Gas Furnace Pilot Won't Light Brand: Please select Age: More than 10 years I have a Carrier natural gas furnace. I switched it on for the first time this Fall and...no heat. I suspected the pilot was out and went to the basement to light it. Sure enough, it was out, although the pilot knob was in the "on" position. When I depressed the little red button to light the pilot, water bubbled out the end of the pilot supply line instead of gas.
A couple months ago, the a/c coil froze up and had to be replaced. I now suspect that during the Summer, the coil defrosted and allowed some water to drain down into the pilot assembly and clog the pilot gas outlet. Any advice as to what to do next? It's cold in here!!!
Thanks!
