Unhappy Condensor Fan Motor Replacement
Brand: General Electric
Model Number: 5KCP39EGS070S
Age: 1 - 4 years

The fan motor went out and I purchased a replacement from Grainger. The problem is that it's a two speed intead of a single speed. The original motor only had 3 wires and the new one has 5. Does anyone have any idea on how to wire it?

Old Motor- Brown went to Capacitor / Yellow went to Capacitor / Black went to relay (note: yellow on capacitor was jumpered to yelow on contact relay)

New Motor- Two browns that show it going to the capacitor / Yellow to relay / Black to hi and red to low

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yellow is now power (relay-Black on old motor), Black wire to jumpered terminal on Capacitor (Yellow on old motor) one Brown to capacitor. Tape off other Brown and Red.
