Default Central AC Inside unit
Brand: Other
Age: More than 10 years

We bought a 1993 model trailer house almost 3 years ago.. Fixed the outside air unit and then it quit again so we just bought a new one.. Now the inside unit is having "issues"... It was making a funny noise so I went to see what was going on and it was frozen, literally. There was a white frost all over the entire unit... SO I let it thaw and then turned it back on.. It will be fine for several hours and then it will do the same thing.. Any suggestions on what is causing this?

the first think to check is the air filter. does it need to be replaced? it will cause the air flow to be less than it needs to be and it to freeze up the evaporator core. does it make a difference if you turn the thermostat to a different setting?
