Trane by far..... having worked in the industry the our company was a Trane dealer. I don't say Trane because that's what we installed, far from it, I say trane because we recieved the fewest service calls and fewest complaints on these models. Don't buy a heat pump!!!!!, these do not work very well above the Mason Dixon line.

In my opinion. I agree that Trane/American Standard one in the same, is the best there is. But it is a little tuff on the wallet. Which ever brand you purchase will give you about 8 to 10 years of service. Don't expect to get more longevity out of Trane. I find Goodman is a fair brand for a fair price. They give a 10 year warranty on some models. Stay away from Janatrol, Comfortmaker & Grand Air. Carrier/ Bryant & Payne are also one in the same. Just Payne is less expensive branch of Carrier
