Default Air conditioner repair help
Brand: Kenmore
Age: 1 - 4 years

I have a 8000 BTU Kenmore window air conditioner. It was worknig GREAT until the other evening I tried to turn it on but nothing happened???? I took it to an a/c repair person and he took it apart and told me that the circuit board was burned up. So I looked at the board and it had a burnt spot on it and also where it set in the groove there was a small amount of water. He said that I could replace the circuit board. Can anyone help me to find the circuit board for this unit. Also I would like to do the repair myself, is this possible or does it require special tools? Aslo if I get the unit fixed how do I prevent this from happening again?
thanks for any help I can get to resolve this matter.
