If your air conditioner is less than a year old it should be under warranty and the board should be replace at no charge.

ditto, at least 1 year warranty is the norm without more imformation hard to give advice.

Carrier central units come with a one year parts and labor warranty and 5yr warranty for the compressor. Don't worry about a thing.
